Have you ever received a message on Facebook that warns you about potential copyright violations and threatens to close your account? These messages are usually scams designed to trick you into giving away your login information.

Scams involving copyright infringement on Facebook typically manifest as messages that inform users of possible account suspension due to copyright violations. These messages claim to be sent from Facebook's legal department or copyright team.

They allege that someone has reported copyright infringement related to the user's Facebook posts, photos, or videos. These messages come with the ominous threat of account suspension within a very short period, typically within 24-48 hours, if the alleged violations aren't resolved promptly.

If you have received this message and have clicked on the link and put any information about your Facebook account, please make sure to reset your password and opt in for two factor authentication as soon as possible.
